SARCA was developed over a six year period with the aid of high tech computers and feedback from commercial fishermen and boaters. It's unique design and high quality performance has made SARCA one of the most popular anchors available in New Zealand and Australia, enthusiastically adopted by Coastguard, Police and Fisheries Patrol vessels, as well as charter operators and other commercial boaters. Rex first launched his new design in 1996, by the turn of the 21'st century the Sarca anchor had built such a reputation for it's unique ability that many other anchor manufacturers were now being forced to rethink anchor technology. SARCA anchors have passed survey in all Australian states and received New Zealand Marine Certification and contain no lead in their design - a plus for the marine environment! Keeping ahead of the competition is an ongoing Research and Development program, more performance in any field comes from better and more accurate methods of testing , as you would be aware of the Sarca Excel, our very latest design, during the R&D program on the Excel we took anchor testing and development to a new level with our incredible worlds first TATS Rig (Tidal Anchor Test Skid) we used this great piece of equipment to develop the Excel anchor and then revisited the performance of the Sarca anchor, with the aid of TATS we were able to gain an incredible whopping 3o% increase in holding power from Sarca, as a direct result of TATS Sarca is now accredited with Super High Holding Power Certification, so we decided to rename Saraca as Super Sarca, Read more in our R&D page.
