| Russell and Annalies Player, owners of Boomerang Sport Fishing and operators of the MV Boomerang II, are into their 5th year operating the business and have over 20 years local fishing experience. Our young and energetic team know sport fishing and how to make your trip a memorable one. Our main area of operation is Princess Charlotte Bay, Far North Queensland. The rivers, reefs and islands of the bay lie 160km north-west of Cooktown. This pristine area allows us to target an incredible range of prime eating and sport fishing species. 7 day charters offer an experience like none other for those looking for estuary, reef and light game fishing. Live-aboard sport fishing trips are tailored around prevailing tides & weather conditions and provide the time to enable us every chance to be at the right place at the right time, every time – so if you want seven days of sun, fishing and thrills then Boomerang Sport Fishing is for you. The MV Boomerang II is a 65ft steel cruiser and cruises at a comfortable 7.5 knots, with a range of 1500 miles. The main engine is a 6 cylinder Gardner Diesel. We have two 240v gen-sets and a 1 tonne snap freezer for your catch. We have four accommodation cabins, each are twin share, air-conditioned and have 240v power points. We have 2 toilets and 1 hot and cold shower - great after a long day's fishing. The main saloon seats 8 persons in comfort as does the top barbeque deck, an ideal place to rig rods and reels when necessary. We have: •3 x 4.55m Polycraft open boats that are suitable for river & reef work. •All are fitted with tiller steer 50hp Yamaha's 4 strokes •Each tender is driven by professional guides so you get the most out of your holiday. |
