Sailaway

Our family has been trailer yachting for three decades. We have personally owned & sailed more Trailer Yachts and trailer sailers than we care to remember, and have learned a thing or two about them along the way.

We take pride in delivering outstanding personal service. Take advantage of our hard-won first hand experience, so we may guide you buyers towards the trailer yacht or trailer sailer that's right for you - your first boat, a cruising boat or a high performance sports boat.

We give preference to buyers who have discussed their requirements with us - we will call you about a suitable trailer yacht or trailer sailer BEFORE we start to advertise it.

Call Ross Ayre or Gavin Ayre (0427) 45 9499 BH to discuss your requirements today. If there is anything that we can do to help you along the way to finding a trailer yacht that suits your needs, please don't hesitate to ask. We find that sometimes people won't ask questions because they feel a bit intimidated or get embarrassed for asking simple questions. Ross and I are always happy to assist if we can. There is so much plain incorrect and misleading information around that it can be very confusing if you are just kicking off with your first boat.

What started as my family's obsession about 33 years ago, grew into our livelihood over 18 years ago. Along the way we have made many enduring friendships and had experiences that very few ever get the chance to enjoy.

The wonderful thing about our website is that it has allowed us to keep in contact with our clients & friends right across Australia, and helped share our experiences & fun times. We are not all about sell, sell, sell. While we do make our living from trailer yachts and accessories, at Sailaway we are a family business. My sister and I grew up as a part of the sailing community, getting out there, enjoying the water and friendship that goes with it. It is a release from the everyday pressures and rush of working life. We are privileged that we have been able to make it our livelihood as well. On a personal note, while I do enjoy racing around the cans on a regular basis, my main interests lay heavily towards cruising and escaping from the every day.

See you on the water !

Warm regards,

Gavin Ayre
Manager

PS - Was there anything on the site that you found annoying or that you would like to see more of, or SHOULD be there? All suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Buying a boat? You must consider insurance for your new boat!
Sailaway has been agents for Clubmarine Insurance for many years, and we highly recommend them. We also use Clubmarine insurance for our own personal boats. We can provide a quote for you either over the phone (02) 4945 9499 or you can click the link here to be taken straight to the Clubmarine website, where you can get a quote and even buy a policy online. If your boat is over twenty years of age, you will need a Condition Report to be able to buy insurance. We are authorised to perform the condition report inspection for you, and can provide Agreed Valuation policies.
Sailaway is authorised to perform Condition Report Inspections for Club Marine Insurance Policies.

Boat Finance
We recommend Finlease for all of your boat finance requirements. Click the link to open a loan calculator. We know all there is to know about trailer yachts, and leave the finance to Finlease. If you would like personal assistance, we can put you in touch with a Finlease representative. Please call (02) 4945 9499 BH for more information.
The links to the NSW Maritime Boating charts below are provided with the kind permission of the NSW Maritime Authority. They don't replace a quality paper chart, but are helpful for an overview of an area. They are available for purchase, printed on special waterproof paper, directly from NSW Maritime Authority. Contact your local NSW Maritime Authority Office. Please note: due to printing and database management constraints some boating charts contained on the NSW Maritime website may be different to the version currently available in printed form.

Sailaway offers a high quality laminated Cruising Chart of Lake Macquarie for only $22.00 (incl GST), plus postage. Our famous laminated cruising charts show the whole Lake, with depths in metres and even show the offshore approaches. Why not drop by our office and pick up a copy, we'll show you where the good anchorages are and point out the must-see spots. We can post you one if you like to plan ahead, and offer discounts for quantities of three or more.
