| Top catch charters run 1/2 and full day ,offshore,deep sea reef fishing and crabbing trips from mooloolaba on the sunshine coast Top Catch Charters provides comfortable, safe excursions aboard “Nautic Boy” a 45 foot Harriscraft which is specifically built for fishing. Loaded with the finest equipment, the latest electronics, and powered with a 500hp Volvo inboard motor we get you to the action as quickly as possible. Our helpful and friendly crew use vast local experience and state of the art electronics to locate the fish and get them on the bite. We provide a range of quality fishing gear including new Shimano and Alvey reels, for you to use. Our knowledgeable crew can also show you how to use all of the gear. If there is any surface activity around we will troll some lures on the way in or out, this can result in hook ups on Dolphin fish, Mackeral, Wahoo, Marlin or Sailfish. We set the lures then hand the rod to you, so be ready for some reel screaming action! We have Spanner crab trap set and retrieval equipment on board Nautic Boy and we drop our traps on the way out to our fishing destination then retrieve them and cook up a feed of crabs for the trip home. A great day of fishing, a feed of freshly cooked crabs and maybe even a cold beer on the way home, it doesn’t get any better than that. ½ Day (5hrs) – A quick but exciting fishing trip for people short on time or who just want to get out on the water and enjoy this beautiful stretch of coastline. We fish from Coolum to Currimundi area and also out to the Caloundra 7mile reefs.We drop our crab traps on the way out and pick them up on the way home.We invite you to help us sort the crabs before they are cooked and iced for you to take home.Its a great experience and this is a trip that the whole family can enjoy. Departs morning or afternoon and includes morning or afternoon tea,snacks and cold drinks. ½ day $135.00 includes morning or afternoon tea. ¾ Day (7hrs) - For the keen angler! This trip sees us head out to the Caloundra 9 or 12 mile rocky reefs,droping our crab traps on the way. Departs morning or afternoon and includes morning or afternoon tea,snacks and complementary drinks. ¾ day $170.00 includes morning or afternoon tea. Full Day (9hrs) – The full day trip is an awesome day out.We depart early morning from the Marina to get us to the grounds in good time, travelling out to either the Caloundra wide area or the Barwon Banks,this will depend on where the fish are biting and the weather conditions.We drop our crab gear on the way out and settle in for some serious fishing action. Departs early morning and includes morning tea, lunch consisting of fresh bread rolls, salad and cold meats and snacks throughout the day. Full day $210.00 includes morning tea and lunch of fresh rolls ,delicious cold meats and salads. Evening Catch and Cook (4hrs) – A great afternoon trip suitable for the whole family.We depart from the marina and head to the productive inshore reefs to fish the sunset.As we watch the sun go down and the coast light up,we put the BBQ on and cook up a mouth watering range of fresh fish or beef burgers,chicken kebabs and Mooloolaba prawns,wash it down with a BYO wine or beer or a complementary soft drink. Departure times vary from 3pm to 4pm according to season, returning between 7pm and 8pm. |
