Designed to provide boat owners with everything they need to get on to the water with as few hassles as possible, the Bayview Marina is easy to use and access. Numbers in excess of this attracts an additional cost. Please request a quote. Live Aboard Permits are limited to 50% of the total berths. Owners may apply for permits if available by completing the attached form. Facilities at the marina include:- •Power and water to each berth. •Showers and toilets. •Laundromat. •BBQ and seating within common area. Within 3 kilometres of Darwin's Central Business District General Conditions The following conditions apply to all options: •Rental to be paid in advance. •An additional charge may be applied for high power usage vessels. •Proof of third party insurance for each boat required prior to entry. •Normal operating time is between the hours of 6am to 6pm or as per published timetable. On Wednesday & Saturday operating time is 06:00 to 21:00. Outside of these times attract a fee of AUD$55.00 per passage. •Mooring and use of berths is at the general risk of the boat owner/operator. •Any booking is subject to completion of a rental agreement and payment of the first rental period. •Tenants must obey the Bayview Management Corpoation ByLaws. (click link!) Fueling Facilities Please note there are no fueling facilities within the Bayview Marina. It is permissable to fill vessels from 20 litre approved jerry cans or to carry 20 litre fuel tanks onto vessels. Any bulk fueling is to be done outside the marina. Marina Power Connection BERTH INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONNECTION TO THE MARINA LOW VOLTAGE (240 VOLT) ELECTRICAL SUPPLY This marina provides power for use on your craft with a direct connection to the marina low-voltage (240 volts) electrical supply which is connected to a copper-based marina electrical protective earthing system. An isolating transformer fitted on board to isolate the low-voltage electrical system of your craft from the marina low-voltage electrical supply may reduce corrosive activity caused by the coupling of your craft to the copper based marina electrical protective earthing system and/or other craft. The earthing of conductive parts on crafts with non-metallic hulls may result in degradation of timber (including wooden plugs in craft of reinforced plastic construction.) YOUR POWER LEAD MUST BE A 15Amp EXTENTION CORD IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. IT MUST BE THE CORECT LENGTH AND HAVE AUSTRALIAN STANDARD SOCKET AND PLUG FITTINGS. ANY DAMAGED OR OLD LEADS MUST BE REPLACED AND ANY SUSPECT LEADS WILL NEED TO BE CERTIFIED AND TAGGED BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN, OR A NEW LEAD PURCHASED. YOUR CRAFT'S LOW VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM MUST COMPLY WITH AS/NZS 3004 ON ARRIVAL a.The electrical supply at this marina is 240 Volts, 50 Hz supplied by socket-outlets which will accommodate a Standard plug. The maximum available current is 15 Amps. b.Where a craft is provided with more than one low-voltage electrical supply, the supplies must have the same method of connection, that is, by connection through an isolating transformer with the hull and conductive parts bonded, or by connection with an isolating transformer. c.Precautions should be taken to prevent the supply lead from sagging or falling into the water and, particularly, to prevent either end of the supply lead falling into the water if it should become disengaged. d.Only one craft supply lead should be connected to any one socket-outlet. e.The supply lead should be in one length, and should not be used while coiled. f.The entry of moisture and salt into a craft's appliance-inlet may cause a hazard. Examine carefully and clean before connecting to the marina low-voltage electrical supply. g.It is dangerous for unskilled persons to attempt repairs or alterations. If any difficulties arise, consult the marina management. ON DEPARTURE a.Ensure the marina low-voltage electrical supply is switched off and the flexible cord is disconnected. b.The supply lead should be disconnected first form the marina socket-outlet and then from the craft appliance inlet. Any cover that may be provided to protect the appliance inlet from the weather should be securely replaced. The supply lead should be coiled up and stored in a dry location where it will not be damaged. |
