Using input out in the field and listening to anglers all over our country, we have been able to extensively develop our range of products. We are therefore able to offer lure fishermen many innovative and unique items that anglers know will be the most suitable for our tough fishing conditions. AusSpin’s range of products are manufactured using some of the highest quality componentry available. Features such as quality Mustad hooks, jewellery finish spinner blades and fittings and a select range of fish attracting silicone skirting material. We therefore strive to bring together all of the above attributes to present anglers with a superbly handcrafted lure equal to the best available today on the market. The AusSpin team also work closely with a select group of tournament anglers around the country and welcome development suggestions from serious fishermen and our valued retail outlets. The MiniSpin is a tiny, compact spinnerbait designed for small creeks, shallow rivers etc also backwaters of impoundments and dams. These highly effective lures feature Mustad chemically sharp black nickel hooks and supple 'fine-cut' silicone skirts (see skirt colours). Bright colour spinnerbaits come with a nickel blade while our dark colour lures have a gold blade fitted as standard. All Tandem MiniSpins come with gold Colorado and nickel Willow blade. Our 1/4 oz Bass Buzz top water lure has some unique features such as a plastic molded four bladed prop that gives superior lift out of the water when retrieved at slower speeds. A supple 'fine cut' 40 strand silicone skirt that pulsates and flutters when retrieved either non-stop or with short spurts. Also a quality 3" curl tail grub 'trailer' that adds a wiggling tail like affect similar to a lizard or mouse to the back of the buzz bait. This lure casts well on light baitcaster tackle and is best worked with rod tip held high. Available in all AusSpin's Every so often a style of lure comes along that excites even lure makers like us and the Cod Botherer does just that. This creation features a large gold blade mounted at the front of the lure that transmits unbelievable vibration through the water when retrieved. This fish attracting gold blade wobbles from side to side on the retrieve and creates an incredible erratic action transmitted through the body of the lure. This wobble inturn brings the fitted spinnerbait skirt to life and with the added attraction of a fitted 4" crawfish trailer, makes this one deadly lure for our natives. The colour coordinated crawfish trailer is infact 'enzyme enriched' and consists of hog lard, garlic and freeze dried crawfish additives. These additives in turn give the plastic added attraction by stimulating freshwater fish to eat. The snag resistant designed head of the Cod Botherer features a scale patterned paint job with 3D eyes. Sizes available include ½, ¾, and 1 oz and are equipped with a Mustad 6/0 UltraPoint hook. The Chatterbait™ has the action of a crankbait, profile of a jig and flash of a spinnerbait! Only the Chatterbait™ with its patent-pending design enables a jig to behave like a crankbait.The intense vibrating action this lure emits on retrieval is due to water pressure pushing the blade rapidly back and forth (several times per second) on the jig’s eyelet. Within seconds of seeing or feeling the action, fishermen realize this realistic motion is unmatched by any lure on the market today. It produces the type of action that triggers the larger fish that have been conditioned to traditional lures with predictable movements. The BladeSpin Jig Head range we have developed offers a size for many of both fresh and saltwater species that are now regularly caught on soft plastics. The smaller sizes in 1/16 and 1/8oz work particularly well on trout, redfin, bream and river bass while the 1/4 and 3/8oz are more suited to freshwater impoundment fishing as well as flathead, jewfish, mangrove jacks etc in saltwater. The BladeSpin comes standard with Indianna blades fitted with the choice of either gold plated or nickel plated blades available. Mustad UltraPoint Black Nickel hooks are used in sizes 2, 1, 1/0, 2/0 and 4/0. With soft plastics being such a huge part of the lure fishers armoury these days, AusSpin Lures have sourced a great new selection of 4" Crawfish soft plastics that are proving very useful on our freshwater natives. These quality American soft plastics are actually 'enzyme enriched' and consist of hog lard, garlic and freeze dried crawfish additives. These additives in turn give the plastic added attraction by stimulating freshwater fish to eat. The 4" Crawfish plastics make great spinnerbait trailers adding bulk and length with bright coloured claws. They make a useful add on to most of AusSpin's extensive range of spinnerbaits in particular the 'WiggleSpin' range, making a spinnerbait with action now even better. The Crawfish come in five fish catching colours including Firetiger/orange, June bug/blue, black/red, black/pink and black/chartreuse and are available with 5 Crawfish per pack. Our chosen selection of quality American soft plastic baits are available in Pre-Packs of 6. This 3" size is best suited to our Round Head Jigs molded on #2, #1 or #1/0 hooks. We also produce a 3" Pre-Rigged Grub Pack in all available 3" colours that includes three grubs rigged on 1/4 oz #1/0 jig heads and three replacement grubs per pack Our chosen selection of quality American soft plastic baits are available in Pre-Packs of 5. This 5" size is best suited to our Round Head Jigs molded on #1/0 to #3/0 hooks. We also produce a 5" Pre-Rigged Grub Pack in all available 5" colours that includes three grubs rigged on 1/4 oz #3/0 jig heads and two replacement grubs per pack. Round head jigs cast easily and sink more rapid than many other styles of jig head. The keeper barbs are gentle on soft plastics making them less likely to tear. On this range of jigs we use the brilliant Mustad Aberdeen chemically sharp black nickel hooks which offers a superior hook-up rate especially when fishing soft plastics with light line. Our unique molding process creates a jig head with a longer shank hook than that available on most other jigs. This longer shank allows for the hook point to be positioned further back in the plastics body. This in turn gives a better hook-up rate and means less short strikes. |
