South Australian Fresh Water Anglers Association (SAFWAA)

South Australian Fresh Water Anglers Association (SAFWAA) is a fun family based angling club welcoming all fisher persons regardless of experience or style.

Our members fish fly, lure and bait, and as the club name would suggest, in fresh water. The club doesn't' limit its self to fresh water and organises a number of trips fishing the big blue bit between the coast and the horizon.

The Police club has bar facilities and the meetings consist of the usual club formalities, southern and northern fisheries reports detailing what has been caught, where and how followed on some occasions by guest speakers or tackle demonstrations.

The club has access to over twenty dams located north and south of Adelaide. These dams have been stocked over many years and hold good sized stocks of most sought after native fresh water fish. The club has a catch and release only policy on all native species, but there are bag & size limits on rainbow trout should members want to take fish. Dam locations will be provided to all new members. To join complete the form on the membership

The club has a number of policies that are designed to protect the properties we fish, the fish stocks they hold and the anglers that fish for them. These policies will be provided as part of the membership package.

The club meets on the first Tuesday of each month at the South Australian Police Club, 27 Carrington St, Adelaide, SA 5000 at 7.45pm.
